SETTING UP YOUR DEVICE
You will have to download some programs when you are utilizing this service for the first time. After your computer and/or device are set up you will not have to do this again.

Click on the "My Help!" icon on the top of the left menu and follow the step-by-step guide for what you want to do (listen to audiobooks or read ebooks) and the device that you will use (iPod, iPad, Kindle, Nook, etc.).

LOG IN
Log in before you start your search to view all titles, including Advantage titles purchased for Briarcliff cardholders only. (What is Advantage?)

BROWSING
Click on eBooks or Audiobooks in the left menu bar and then browse by category.

(Teen books: Many are included with children's books under "Juvenile" and are not listed completely in "Teen Reads")

FINDING EXACT TITLE
Do a keyword search on the top right of the screen. Be sure to select the desired format from the drop down menu.

FORMAT
Each audiobook will have its format highlighted in yellow and will highlight in red the compatible devices.

Each ebook will have its format highlighted in yellow. (A chart below notes what formats are compatible with the most common devices. view chart)

Device Resource Center

Find out what eBook (EPUB and/or PDF) and audiobook (MP3 and/or WMA) formats are compatible with your device.

The alphabetical list of compatible devices changes depending on what options you "check."

ADD TO CART
If the book is available it will provide an "add to cart" option. Click on that. Then click "proceed to checkout."

You will select a loan period of 7 or 14 days. After the designated loan period the ebooks/audiobook will be automatically deleted from your computer and/or device. Renewal is not possible.

PLACE A HOLD
If the book is unavailable it will only provide a "place a hold" option. You may click on that to place the hold and then you will be emailed when it becomes available. You will have 3 days from when you receive the email to download the title.

Why holds? Only 1 download is available at a time for each copy of a title.

note: If you did not already login, "Sign in to Check Availability" will appear on some titles to indicate that additional copies of that title have been purchased by an Advantage member library and are available to those cardholders only.
