K - 4th Grade

  • For Reading Aloud!
    This is a list of suggested novels to real aloud to elementary school aged children.

1st Grade - 8th Grade

  • Children's Book Council: Children's Choices
    This webpage contains the winners of the "Children's Choices" of favorite books each year and they are separated into three separate age groups: Ages 5 - 7, Ages 8 - 10, and Ages 11 - 13. (Go to Children's Choices Booklists for past years' lists)
  • The Read Aloud Registry
    Although this website is intended to help teachers to locate good books to read aloud in the classroom, this can also be a great resource for parents selecting read aloud books. The site lists recommended read aloud titles by grade level for grades one through eight.
