CURBSIDE PICKUP & RETURNS
Curbside Pick Up -- detailed instructions|
All cardholders are invited to make an appointment to pick up items using our safe, convenient Curbside Pickup service. This is perfect for getting holds, printing, magazines or even selections that the library staff will put together for you. Please call or email ahead of time so we can get everything ready for you.
Our curbside hours are: |
- Monday 11 am - 3 pm
- Tuesday 1 - 5 pm
- Wednesday 11 am - 3 pm
- Thursday 11 am - 1 pm, 4 - 7 pm
- Friday 11 am - 3 pm
- Saturday 11 am - 2 pm
When you receive a notification that your holds are available for pick up, call the library to set a pickup appointment. The item will be checked out to you already. Please return it at your earliest convenience.

Please return items at your earliest convenience to the outdoor book and media return drops.
Due to the library building's sturdy walls, these return drops jam easily. Be sure to deposit one item at a time and wait to hear it drop before depositing the next items. Large or thick items can be returned at curbside. Just let us know that you are leaving them.
Items will not be checked in right away. All library items are being quarantined for three to four days at each point in the process. This is the current recommendation for safe handling of library materials.
You may receive an automated notice or charges on your library card account. This is happening system-wide as libraries are adding back services and holds are placed among all the libraries. Most issues will resolve themselves in time. We will help if the situation does not resolve.
Due to all these changes, we are not following due dates or charging fines.

HOW TO ARRANGE FOR CURBSIDE PICKUP|
Request books, DVDs or other items by
a. Placing a hold in our online catalog or
b. Emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or
c. Calling the Library at 914-941-7072.
2. Reserve a pickup time...
When you receive a notification that your holds are available for pick up, call the library to set a pickup appointment.
3. Contactless pickup...
Please arrive at the traffic circle during the appointed time slot. When you approach the pickup area, call us at 914-941-7072 to let us know you are here.
Please wait your turn if there is a line and stay in your car (or if you are walking, 6' away) until we come out, put your items on the table and return to the building.
Once we have gone back in the building, please take your items from the table and put any returns in the outdoor item drop.
We suggest quarantining items for 72 hours before use. For now, please return items when you are comfortable doing so. All fines will be waived at least through July 15.
Please note that...
We will be happy to help you select titles that are currently on library shelves.
- For social distancing, if you are just returning items, please do so during non-curbside pickup hours.
- There may be limitations in place as we navigate this new service to keep everyone safe.
Please help to keep the community safe by:
- Wearing a mask or face covering if you are over 2 years old and medically able,
- Washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or using hand sanitizer,
- Keeping a social distance of 6 feet,
- Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth,
- Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue and discarding it in a closed container,
- Cleaning frequently touched surfaces and objects.
